Will a contractor come to my home for a free estimate?

Yes, a Diversified Landscaping professional will come to your home to discuss your specific wants and needs for your landscape. Our estimates are no obligation.

How often should I cut my grass?

During the Spring & Summer, mowing your lawn approximately once a week will keep it short, clean, healthy, and beautiful.

How can I get rid of crabgrass?

Applying a pre-emergent in spring will help prevent crabgrass from germinating and taking over your lawn in the following seasons. If crabgrass is excessive, you may prefer to manually remove grass tufts.

How much should I water my trees?

There is an easy formula to follow: 10gallons per inch per week. Remember to water trees even in winter, as colder weather can cause trees to quickly dry out and die. Younger trees require watering especially often, as they will lose water easier because of their thinner bark.

Should I aerate my lawn? How often?

Every lawn will be benefited from regular aerating. We recommend having this process done at least once a year, although twice a year is optimal.

What types of plants are best for my hedge?

Diversified Landscaping has a variety of hedge tree and shrubbery options. We can suggest the best type for you based on your tree height and maintenance preferences.

How can I protect my landscape from pests?

Pests can potentially eat almost every kind of plant in a lawn, although they do have their preferences. Repellents and traps can be used to deter most pests, although some are harder to keep away than others. Diversified Landscaping is experienced at removing all pests native to the Southeast United States via humane repellent and trapping methods.
